Members shall be registered parishioners within the diocese or region the Chapter represents. When starting an ACTS Missions Chapter, there should be equal numbers of males and females (none from the same family or in-laws) from each of the initial ACTS Cores not presently serving on Core.
Each member must present approval from their pastor that they are practicing Catholics in good standing with the Church and ready to serve in an ACTS leadership role.
Members must be committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the ACTS Retreat. Each member must understand that they no longer represent ACTS at the parish level but now represent ACTS and ACTS Missions at a diocesan or regional level, and that the greater apostolate mission comes first and foremost.
Members should demonstrate a servant’s heart and a willingness to dedicate time to the Chapter outside of regular Chapter meeting times.
Each Chapter shall represent the Chapter’s region as defined in the Articles of Association and, as such, maintain a balance of gender and parish representation among its members.
Members shall sign and agree to all requirements of the Chapter "YES Agreement."
Members must have the following ACTS experience:
Served on a minimum of three (3) ACTS Retreat Teams (at least two are Adult Retreat Teams)
Held two (2) leadership positions (past Core Team member and one other, such as past Retreat Rirector, Co-Director, or Spiritual Companion, or served as a Service or Ministry Lead)
Members should possess the professional skills needed to manage an organization at a diocesan or regional level, such as managerial, administrative, accounting, logistics, communications, training, computer, organizational, or evangelizing skills.
Members must have a clear understanding of what ACTS is and is not, as prescribed by ACTS Missions HQ and outlined in the Essential Elements of the ACTS Retreat, and have a complete understanding of the goals and challenges of an ACTS Retreat and utilize their experiences to achieve the goals of ACTS. and ACTS Missions.
Members should have attended an adult ACTS Retreat Training and an ACTS Core Training within three (3) years before joining the Chapter. If not, members should attend these trainings within the first six (6) months of serving on Chapter.
